I (original author Tommygunner321, the same below) have always wanted to make an Interior's mod for this game. I fell in love with Fallout 4's Boston when the game launched, but unfortunately, as an Xbox user, modding was out of the question. I think Bethesda did a great job designing this game world, especially the downtown/city areas, but I always felt like the city was a little empty because of the numerous wooden board doors. Hopefully this mod can help alleviate that criticism, even if it only covers one region.

I present, TG'z Fens interiors.. I hope you all enjoy exploring these new locations as much as I enjoyed making them, thank you.

Place

Cabaret Club

This club was popular before the war and provided some of the best entertainment in West Boston. Revered for its stone pillars, top-notch performances and fine wines. Located near Bridgeway Trust.

Corner bar

This was once a popular drinking spot next to Fenway Park and a favorite among pre-war Red Soz fans. Unfortunately, a new and notorious gang has begun calling this place home. Located near Bridgeway Trust

Sherwood/Kennedy Residences

The private residence of two antebellum Boston citizens. Located near Bridgeway trust and Chestnut Hillock Reservoir.

Drug den

A small drug den on the eastern edge of the swamp, home to a few unfortunate souls who have fallen victim to the Commonwealth's vices. Located near Police Station 8.

Massachusetts Savings and Loans Massachusetts Savings and Loans

West Boston's major bank, once a center for financial transactions and services. While it may have seen better days, this bank may still have some value among scavengers. Located near Police Station 8.

grocery store

A humble corner grocery store, one of dozens serving antebellum swampland residents. Located near the entrance to Diamond City.

Faded Glory Laundromat

The quintessential downtown laundromat that once served the needs of ordinary Boston residents. The owner of this store has problems...serious problems. Located near the Hardware City.

Apartment (x2)

Two prime examples of public housing in antebellum Boston. The rent is high and it's small and cramped. Located near Hangmans Lane and Fens Street Sewer.

Fensway Books

What was once a lovely bookstore is now nothing more than a shack. In postwar Boston, some buildings were more severely damaged than others, and it was the former. However, value can be found even in the unlikeliest of places. Located near Fens Way Station.

Frank's Surplus and Supplies

A weapons and military surplus store that met a tragic end for its previous owner. Located next to Evans Way Cul-de-Sac.

Future plans

I'd like to add some lore friendly stuff to the interior, like a computer terminal and notes..things I don't have time to add. Aside from some lore and possible bug fixes, if I ever decide to mod again, I'll most likely start a new interior design project in a different area of Boston.

Stability and performance

I made sure to clean up this mod in FO4edit so that the pre-composition remained intact. I also made sure not to edit any pre-existing data or touch anything in existing/external cells. However, if anyone has any questions or finds any bugs, please let me know, thanks.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions

  1. Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
  2. There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
  3. Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
  4. Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.

Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
