About this mod Machine translation
Install:
Take the time to read this!
- First install asXas mod: SVT-40
I highly recommend using a tool to manage your mods, I personally use Vortex, the Mod Manager version 2.0, I know the latter operates, but that's all, I don't know if these steps are the same on other tools.
If you go through Vortex or NMM, download one or the other of the original modes directly. Then install the mod and fomod will open.
You have to choose several options, keeping in mind your choice of compatibility patches.
You can install the mod's 4K textures, otherwise continue to the next step.
- then install my translation
fomod will open. For the rest (level lists and patches), choose the same options you selected in the first fomod. I know the solution is not ideal, but since Xas wants his mod's resources to not leave his page.
In principle, if you have followed these steps, you should only select the selected step in the Data folder.
- Using NMM you can check the list of installed mods.
- Use Vortex, which will tell you that there are conflicts between mods and translations for all selected files, and you can then enter rules to resolve the issue. This mod must be loaded after the original version, otherwise the translation will not apply.
The esp in question is:
- SVT40.esp; it is the basic file and must be activated. Versions that are not integrated in the integrations list will also use this name here and replace the base esp, so you can't really go wrong.
- One of the following two sps: SVT40 - AWKCR.esp, or SVT40 - AWKCR-VIS.esp; these are optional files used as patches, only the first is for AWKCR, the second also contains patches for the Valdacil project ordering. You cannot activate two of them at the same time!
- SVT40-1.5xDMG.esp or SVT40-2xDMG.esp; these are optional files that increase the base damage of the weapon. You don't have to activate both at the same time!
- Unleash the Soviet Bear on you!
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
