About this mod Machine translation
Now has MCM support
Fallout 4's survival mode update is a mixed bag for most people, and whether you're able to live without fast travel or just want to tweak hunger and thirst rates, there's usually at least one thing that seems to be off. With this mod you can adjust most survival settings and create a custom survival experience.
When you first launch my mod, you will receive a holotape which allows you to dynamically change various settings without having to constantly reinstall a mod to get it just right. If you did not receive a holotape, it can be crafted at the Chemistry Station
Currently switchable options:
Revolutionize hunger, thirst and sleep
Switch to display needs, Hunger and Thirst are the required food values, Sleep is the hours for the next debuff
Change how quickly you need food and drink
Change the time before you need to go to bed
Set required food and drink amounts to half of what you normally need or leave them the same
desire to switch items
Item switching hunger
Mainly requires debuff switching
Toggle whether placeholder debuff is required for primary needs
Fatigue toggle for hunger, thirst or exhaustion
Weight penalty switch for survival mode
Damage when blocked
Damage caused when blocked in powerful armor toggle
Quick travel switch
Quickly switch away from the academy
disease switch
immunodeficiency switch
Changed combat incoming and outgoing damage multipliers
All bed types are reversible
Partner automatic treatment switching
adrenaline switch
Automatic limb healing switching

Unit reset options
Save system:
Choose whether each option saves automatically or normally
Save battery load
Save waiting
Save on settable timer
Save when exiting combat and reaching a configurable health percentage
Save when leveling up (not the best since there is no levelup event so it checks every 10 seconds to see if your level has increased)
Normally saved and autosaved items, get these via holotape
Things that can't be toggled in game but have install options:
Switch console
Change compass back to non-survival value
Things not in this mod:
Project weight, this currently requires editing the project and cannot be switched via script
Re-enable survival mode, this requires a ui mod
Healing rate, this is a game setting and cannot be toggled
The experience is doubled, this is a game setting and cannot be switched
compatibility
Anything that edits the hc_manager task will not match. Mods that edit items, menus, or game settings should work fine.
I always recommend backing up your save files before testing a mod.
If there's a feature you want or I've forgotten let me know and I'll try to add it.
When submitting a bug, please make sure it's not a mod conflict, but rather the mod causing the problem.
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
