About this mod Machine translation
Subterranean Skirmish is a mission mod that adds locations, battle spaces, a short narrative, legendary item rewards, and new gunner-themed T-45 power armor paint.
Update 1.2 on 12/27/23: Updated to resolve issues with T-45 object templates
Update 1.1 on December 22: Fixed material issues
Boston's inner city is a playground for homeless people and misfits trying to kill each other. The Raiders, Hancock's crew from Good Neighbors, the Gunslingers, and even the Super Mutants are all keen to claim their place in Beantown's remnants, even as conflicts occur every day.
Subterranean Skirmish has added a new Gunner-controlled location in Fallout 4: Boston Sewerage, the city's leading waste disposal facility. Explore a new dungeon and get caught up in a conflict between a group of bellicose gunmen and hostile super mutants!
Features included in Subterranean Skirmish include:
World locations and dungeon interiors
New T-45 power armor paint (relevant to the Gunners faction)
Legendary Melee Weapons and Power Armor Rewards
mission, following the battle between gunmen and mutants
All of the mod's new content can be found at the Boston Sewerage Plant, a new location located south of Faneuil Hall and west of the Customs House
Compatibility Note:
Subterranean Skirmish adds new content to the Commonwealth world space. All changes made by me (original author SwivelSkittle, the same below) are cumulative, not transformational, so existing pre-combinations in the game are not affected. If any modders can provide me with insights or resources on how to update my mods to accommodate precomposition/rehearsal, link to famous documentation, etc. please let me know.
In addition to this, this mod also adds an additional ObjectTemplate for the T-45 power armor pieces. In my testing this didn't cause any issues, but please report it if you start experiencing compatibility issues when playing Underground Skirmishes with other mods that affect Power Armor.
The interior of this mod was created as part of a course project I did at university, cataloging the variations and design aspects of the levels. If you're curious, you can find a link to the above document here.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
