Updated on October 25th:
Version 1.5 Update
Added "Apply cost to all fast travel" option to MCM. When enabled, caps will be spent based on distance and player level, not just for cities, but for general Sign-to-Sign fast travel.
Added "Place Fast Travel Flag" option to MCM. This is a bit of a "cheat" feature that allows you to place a flag at any desired outdoor location in the Commonwealth, Far Harbor, or Nuka-World.
Fixed an issue where travel markers would remain instead of being properly scrapped and disappearing when the markers were removed by SS2's City Plan or similar scheme.
Updated on August 7th:
Version 1.4 Update
Added a "Fast Travel Settlement Flag" menu to the MCM where you can enable or disable Pip-Boy fast travel and adjust the cost multiplier for city fast travel.
This mod is now compatible with America Rising 2. It's designed to not require a separate patch, so some minor inconveniences may occur.
A fast travel map has been added to the Vertibird refueling facility. After completing related tasks, a fast travel marker to the oil rig will appear.
Fixed an issue where Academy Marks would disappear and not reappear in America Rising 2. It should now reappear correctly. This has not been personally tested so please provide feedback if you encounter any issues.
Fixed a bug where the sign would float in the air if Pridwin hadn't arrived yet. If this issue persists, please report it.
Update December 18th: Fixed an issue where the pin would extend beyond the marker when the settlement was at the edge of the map.

This mod disables using the vanilla fast travel that comes with Pip-Boy and instead allows you to build "Settlement Fast Travel Flags" in Settlement Building Mode. These flags enable fast travel between locations. In addition to being craftable, these tokens can also be found in cities, faction headquarters, and DLC areas, depending on how far you've progressed in the game. Of course, you can also use these signs to get to and from these locations quickly.
It's difficult to explain this with just words, so I'll upload an edited screenshot and explain it further.
The first sign you will encounter is the one placed by default in Sanctuary. As shown in the screenshot, a pin is placed on the map at the location of Sanctuary, and if a sign is made at another settlement, that location will also be accurately marked on the map. By interacting with these pins, users can quickly travel to different maps.
This sign can be crafted from the Special tab in Stronghold Workshop mode, and only one sign can exist per stronghold at a time. Once built, you can move the token freely within the settlement, or tear it down and build a new one.
In addition to signs that can be made, fixed signs are installed at major locations such as Diamond City, Pridwin, and Arcadia. When players move near these locations, or as the main quest progresses, a marker is automatically recognized and a pin appears on the map showing their location.
The location where the pin appears on the map is determined by a cumulative calculation of the map and inserted into the code. So if a vanilla settlement is located outdoors in the Federation, Far Harbor, or NukaWorld, not only the vanilla settlement, but also the modded settlements will be accurately displayed on the map.
If the settlement added by the mod is in a separate world space or indoors, it will be displayed in the lower right corner of the map, and there may be up to 5 locations.
If you want to enable vanilla fast travel, enter 'bat FastTravelON' in the console. To disable it again, enter 'bat FastTravelOFF'. However, in survival mode, you cannot use vanilla fast travel even if you enter this console command.
Note: If settlements are too close to each other, such as Sanctuary …
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
