About this mod Machine translation

Make random encounters (such as Gene, the reluctant dog supplier) more common in storytelling.

Prefix:

Automation Workshop Far Harbor Nuclear World DLC

Random encounter framework:

Did you know that Bethesda writes a lot of reasonably interesting random encounters that aren't just a strange object on the ground or a few enemies you can encounter? Like a dog vendor who won't sell to you, or someone impersonating Preston Garvey in a charity scam? Heck, there was even a pair of campers arguing over the definition of a sandwich. Not to mention all the quest lead-ins and post-mission encounters Bethesda did. This mod is intended to make these encounters easier to find.

---

Features

Make non-universal random encounters easier to find by creating an encounter pool that contains only non-universal random encounters.

Three main files, which can be used together or separately.

"Funny Encounters Booster" boosts all funny encounters.

"Story Encounter Boosters" boost unusual encounters that are not related to the player's mission.

The "Tie-In Encounter Booster" boosts encounters relevant to the player's mission.

Marked as lightweight (ESL tagged esp) to minimize impact on loading list.

FAQ

How do I get started using this mod?

Just install it! No configuration or special steps are required.

Which master file should I use?

Whichever master file you want to use. If you really want to, you can even use them together for an extra boost.

Why does this require a random encounter framework?

compatibility. Adding and editing encounters is a compatibility nightmare and is incompatible with everything patched in the Random Encounter Framework Patch Center.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions

  1. Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
  2. There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
  3. Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
  4. Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.

Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
