Prefix:
RobCo Patcher:
The third release in the Get Off My Face series, now focused on revolvers!
Edit.44 Original animation of the Western Revolver from the Pistol and Nuclear World. Additionally, a speed loader was added to the reload, allowing the .44 pistol to function as a double-action revolver!
New features:
-Double action shooting animation
- Use a speedloader for single-action and double-action reload animations (courtesy Spadey01, open permission) instead of magic-bound floating bullets. As expected, double-action reloads are slightly faster than single-action reloads (since there is no need to manually depress the hammer).
By default, only .44 pistols use double-action animation, as Western revolvers are much more powerful. Includes an ESL-tagged ESP that changes some balance stats (relevant only to fire rate and reload speed). This is all that can be added to the current functionality of RobCo Patcher, so this is a pre-requisite.
Since these animations rely on new meshes (auto-reset for double-action animations, quickloader for reloading), they will only activate if there are certain keywords on the weapon, which is in the ESP.
May conflict with other mods touching .44 pistols, Western revolvers, and some of their attachments. All of this can be solved in FO4Edit.
The main file has been packaged and uploaded together with the full double-action or full single-action patches for the original .44 revolver and Western revolver. You can choose to install it according to your preference.
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
