Spot Pond is a real scene that extends slightly to Fellsway Reservoir in Middlesex. I spent a lot of time there as a kid with my colleagues and brothers. It's not technically in Fallout 4, but it's there. So I thought, what the hell. I make mods. Why not pay tribute? But it's boring and I want to make it useful. I played Urbex a lot in the early 2010s. Most of the sites I could find were abandoned Cold War military documents and EPA Superfund sites. It's easy to make stuff up out of thin air, but I wanted to do a little bit of both to stay inspired and make the location more interesting.

I designed this location to quickly come up with a quick dungeon key puzzle. Not everyone likes this and doesn’t want to jump right in. I left map markers for the exterior and interior, and also allowed fast travel from the interior. I also left a button on the back of the exterior satellite to assign all the keys you need. If you're confused, there's also an in-game terminal near the game's entrance that explains it in detail.

Anyway...short key finding puzzles, or bypassing the first dungeon via map markers or key dispensers. You'll have a middling (non-functional) nuclear launch pad, a bank vault with plenty of starting building materials, a companion to travel with other vanilla companions, two small dungeons, a huge empty warehouse with a water source and some side rooms, loot, trades, and enhanced vanilla buildings. That's basically it.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions

  1. Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
  2. There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
  3. Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
  4. Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.

Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
