About this mod Machine translation

describe:

Those pesky half-rotten wooden doors are no longer made of adamantium and can now crumble like the soggy toilet paper they are supposed to behave like!

This mod adds damage data to all wooden doors in the game, as well as wooden shutters used in windows in several locations.

I didn't come across "loading gate" for obvious reasons - it only works with 2-state open/close doors.

All types of damage will act on them, such as physical hits, standard ballistics, energy, explosives, etc.

Potential/known issues:

  • This will inevitably affect any doors in your settlement that use the same base object as the doors. I don't have an easy way to fix this, so to compensate I've set the door's health quite high (500).

Please note that the workshop placement door uses a different base object by default!

This only works with mods that add these doors to the settlement build list!

*Also keep in mind that NPCs don't actually try to break down doors (they won't shoot even if a door blocks them), so the odds of anyone breaking your settlement door apart from anything other than a random spray of bullets or a big explosion nearby are pretty low.

  • In some places, destroying a closed door may result in a porter bug, making the area behind the door invisible until you walk past the door frame. This is a temporary bug - saving and reloading or leaving the area and returning will fix it. I can't fix this since it's just one of the many ways the game tweaks optimizations (there's no reason to render something the player can't see). Either ignore the problem or just destroy the open door.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions

  1. Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
  2. There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
  3. Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
  4. Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.

Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
