A tribute to Baerthe, Cryptdick, Wanaming0 and Carnagefiend's classic mod South of the Sea. Known for enhancing the Glowing Sea and its surrounding areas, South of the Sea has left a legacy in the modding community, calling for the brave to take up the mantle and resume development.
Technical issues have been resolved. The story and missions have been expanded. The world locations and interior maps have been redrawn to accommodate the stories of Atomic Fanatics, Swamp Folk, and Fire Demon Creatures. With help from the entire community, the mod now works.
I present to you the latest chapter of South of the Sea: Atomic Storm
*The prophet tells the atomic fanatics to dig. Dig and find the Light of the Atom. But they dug too deep, unearthing hellish creatures of fire that killed the Prophet and dozens of fanatics. The remaining fanatics, barely restrained, studied the prophet's words in the hope of finding answers. During the prophet's life, the atoms spoke through the prophet. As these words were spoken, believers wrote them down. These writings are still placed in their original locations and are worshiped. Believers of Atom believe that by learning these words, the believer will be rewarded one day. Shown are the sacred weapons used in their holy war. *
*These prophecies are scattered throughout the vast network of tunnels and new locations that make up the fanatic's territory. An ever-expanding territory - albeit under attack from within by fiery demonic creatures. It's all thanks to radioactive waste erupting from below. This ooze is now a key ingredient in a very profitable and very dangerous new drug. The recovery of these weapons could tip the balance of power as the Zealots expand north to the Natick Banks Raiders and east to the Swamperts. *
*Hurry, because it seems the atomic fanatics aren't the only group taking advantage of this radioactive ooze. Locals from the fishing town of Quagmire have discovered a secret swamp, and with the help of a dangerous witch, the people of the swamp are using the mud to build a massive fortress south of Quincy. Now, reveling in this newfound power, the Swampmen threaten the gunslingers of the north. *

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
