About this mod Machine translation
What it can do:
Welcome to Commonwealth Exclusive Survivor! This simulator simply mutes all annoying, non-immersive and repetitive ambient music (the music that can be heard while exploring cities, wastelands and dungeons) for a more vivid experience. You really have no idea how terrifying a death row roar can be, or how oppressive the silence of a cave can be, how disruptive a violent storm can be, and how endearing sitting next to a warm fireplace can be...until you use this mod to mute those pesky tracks. Music for special events (like the Vault 111 door opening theme, perk-table-on-level-up-up-up-up-up discovery) imho is great for accentuating some epic moments, so this mod leaves them untouched - unless you select the "Mute Special Events" option!
Another good news is that this mod is fully customizable! You can now adjust it to your liking: starting from 1.1.0 you can choose to keep 4 themes and have 1 soundfx mute.
You decide which tracks to keep:
- Battle Tracks: You know, epic tracks with a bit of excitement! These rails come into play when fighting normal enemies.
Boss Tracks: Even More Epic Tracks, Even More Thrills! These tracks come into play during battles against high-level bosses.
- Faction theme: Feel the power of BoS! These tracks play when entering Minuteman, BoS, Railroad and Institute HQ.
- Diamond City Theme: Shine, you crazy diamond! This theme plays while walking through the streets of Diamond City. Positive madness.
You can decide which sounds to mute:
one. Silent Home Plate Rumble Noise: The universal "whoooooom" rumble you can hear in home run players' houses in Diamond City will drive you crazy! Now you can mute it. Points can be redeemed for canisoftlykissu.
Bay*** the latest 1.2.0! ***Silent Special Event: For those hardcore immersionists who hate any distractions from their gaming experience. You can still choose the tracks you want to listen to. Credit to Robbazching.
Additional information in the installer. Not what you want? You can ask for it! See details below ;)
Of course, since you decide when to play it, the radio station isn't affected.

This MOD is useless. I can only turn off the "Music" volume into settings.
Seriously, so many of you ask me this question. This was all written before: If you turn off music, it will turn off every music. The purpose of this mode is to select the tracks you want to play and the ones you don't want to listen to.
Why should I download this MOD?
You are alone in a dangerous wasteland. Everything around you seems to be destroyed. The ruins of an ancient, happy(?) civilization.
The music started. That's really annoying music. Same thing you've heard thousands of times. You try to ignore it, but it just gets louder. You might try to go home, maybe listen to soft classical music near the fireplace... but the music just keeps playing. hateful! If only there was a way to stop this horrible noise...
Isn't this great?
Of course. Immersionists of the MxR mod would say it's SUPER-DUPER-IMMERSIVE. There is no doubt about it.
Any compatibility issues?
Since it's a very simple mod, there are no compatibility or performance issues at all.
Additionally, adding background music or new radio stations with other mods will not affect them.
This mod works by removing the line pointing to the music track file so it doesn't require any dummy audio files: This mod will make the game engine lighter on your CPU and may resolve audio issues or stuttering as reported by some users.
Mods like TrueStorms - Wasteland Edition or Nuclear Weather are 100% compatible - they are also 100% recommended!
It is not compatible with any other mod, similar to this, uncheck the music track (like MaudKon's ImmersiveSilence) - there will be no bugs or crashes or loss of saves, but the load order will determine which one will prevail.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
