About this mod Machine translation

A small resource module that adds some options when customizing the appearance of Dogmeat.

Originally I just made some small edits to the raider dog mesh to extend the ears and bring the butt out a bit (so the poor thing didn't look completely malnourished), but I decided that if I was going to post edits I should do Dogmeat's mesh as well, since Dogmeat has more reconfiguration than raider dogs; now, there are two more options when it comes to customizing your fuzzy virtual friend!

These were very simple mesh edits done in Outfit Studio - I just pulled on the ears and shapes until it looked at least somewhat realistic.

There aren't any retextures included here, so you'll have to replace them yourself, but I'll link the mod I used in the screenshot:

Labrador Retriever Meat (for Predator Mesh)

“Pirate” Dogmeat (Dogmeat.com)

Dogmeat Mutts by Bellyache (for Dogmeat Net)

Jesters Better Dogmeat (for Dogmeat.net)

Install:

Select the dog you want, download the file and place it in the data folder.

Known issues:

Weird little animation on the Dogmeat grid. That's not a bad thing, but Dogmeat's animation is designed for pointy ears, so floppy ears can sometimes move weirdly or pinch at the tips. There aren't any game-breaking bugs I've seen with any meshes, but let me know if issues arise. I will try my best to fix them.

The Mastiff Dogmeat mesh is a little torn. The altitude was changed as an experiment and the backup was destroyed. Due to the height change, this particular Dogmeat mesh is not suitable for clothing/armor. His eyes also glitch when he blinks (I'll include a screenshot of the exploit). I'm not sure if this is the problem I'm trying to solve. These grids are for personal use and experimentation. Just upload them to people who want to try them out.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions

  1. Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
  2. There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
  3. Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
  4. Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.

Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
