Main menu commands
(1) Holding down on the current companion will keep them in place with a map marker reminder, even after fast traveling or world space teleportation. They are set to ghost state when held to avoid any unfortunate behavior. They must be released even after using Move to Me.
(2) Move the current companion or all available companions to the player's side.
(3) Highlight or map: mark the current companion and all player followers.
(4) Open the inventory of the current companion and all player followers in turn.
(5) Set Dogmeat to commandable on/off to remove annoying hover prompts.
Unlock menu options
For each base game and DLC companion, unlock options change based on its status:
LOCKED | Unavailable = They are not installed (DLC), dead or disabled
MAKE AVAILABLE = They are currently unavailable, this will complete the task to make them so.
AVAILABLE MOVE TO ME = They can be used as companions.
Affinity menu options

Hatred that prevents players from rejoining (such as Preston after DLC04 Home Sweet Home) can be reset to the network and clear the blocked quest dialog.
Set menu options
These settings apply to the status of all base game and DLC companions:
(1) Holding down an actor after moving to a player will prevent them from running back to their home state immediately after moving. It is released for use in combat when they join the player as a companion, or when using the holotape release option.
(2) The Force equipped default weapon prevents companions from deactivating the unlimited ammo default weapon and picking up trash (Curie, look at mom).
(3) As the player's level increases, the companion's default weapon is automatically upgraded to a long-range weapon, and the semi-automatic OMOD is attached to the long-range weapon. This feature comes from SKK companion weapon automatic upgrade.
(4) Adding player weapon privileges will increase the same privilege level as the player: Gunner, Rifleman, Correspondent, Heavy Gunner, Major League. They have a significant impact on damage done to companions.
(5) Unlimited ammunition allows them to shoot any weapon with one bullet like a "normal" NPC.
(6) Turn off power armor damage to avoid broken pieces getting lost in the inventory or having to fish them out to be repaired. If you like gind, please reopen it.
(7) Toggle: Ignore your friendly fire to stop them from getting angry. Default Gameplay They don't ignore fire, so if hit too many times they will irritate the player …
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
