Unfortunately, the only way to fix Nick's brain is to force him into your companion slot. You could fire him immediately, but that's what it has to be.
As the title suggests, this mod skips Kroger's memories, which is a pretty boring part after a few playthroughs.
When you sit in the memory pod, it will pop up a message box asking if you want to skip. Check out the screenshots to learn more.
