describe

Shield Extension is a Shield Integration Project plugin focused on bringing new liveries to existing shields added by the mod, as well as tweaking a few small things.

Most of the camouflages from the original mod are still available on the Armor Workbench, while new camouflages are provided and become the default version. I (original author DeadlyStr1ke, the same below) try to make the new livery fit into the environmental context as much as possible, sometimes using concept art references and existing in-game objects and their color palettes to achieve this.

Note that some liveries are locked after visiting locations and completing certain missions to spice things up and add a bit of a sense of progression and presentation to your adventure, but most of them are intuitive enough to be swapped out of the box.

Also added is 1 new unique shield, which I won't spoil here, but as a little tip, they call these types of shields towers.

About the Radial Diversity Extension (FVE)

FVE is a small project started by me, inspired by New Vegas' Spice of Life and Fallout 3's Scavenger Armors, as well as numerous modders expanding the game content with their wonderful creations. I've been modding for years but for a number of reasons I've mostly kept my mods to myself, but now I think I've got enough experience and the mods themselves are of good enough quality that others can enjoy them as well.

The project itself will be a series of mods, varying in size and scope, extending various areas of play with the permission of the original author, and sometimes the creation of others. Although there are currently no plans to introduce new game mechanics into the mod chain, this may change in the future.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions

  1. Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
  2. There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
  3. Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
  4. Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.

Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
