About this mod Machine translation
compatibility
This mod does not modify any original game data, except for some Automatron form lists (which injects its data into the game via scripts), so it should be compatible with almost anything - just make sure you follow the install/update/uninstall procedures and everything will be fine.
Driving Motorcycle Mod
If you're using this mod, I made a patch for it (in the miscellaneous files) to have the Servitron sit on the bike behind the player.
Vanilla game Vertibirds.
By default, any Automatron robot you build from scratch (for example, not a Curie or Codsworth, but a robot you create) will not board Vertibirds that you might use for fast travel. I made a separate patch that allows any Servitrons you build to be mounted on Vertibirds, you can find it in the Miscellaneous files.
If you want to save plugin slots, use the ESL variant, but be aware that some older mod managers may not recognize ESL as a valid plugin, in which case you will have to add it to "plugins.txt" yourself.
If you don't know what I'm talking about, use the ESP variant.
Install
You need the Main file and an Optional file.
The file "Servitron - BodySlide Files" contains only BodySlide files and requires you to use BodySlide to build the mesh.
Another file "Servitron - Default Mesh - CBBE Curvy" contains pre-built meshes so you don't need to use BodySlide.
Install the Main file and then the selected Optional files.
Allow optional files to overwrite all files in the main file.
Build mesh from BodySlide.
Obviously, this step only applies to those who choose to use "Servitron - BodySlide Files".
NOTE: Some people have mentioned issues when trying to install or use BodySlide from a certain version of Mod Organizer - if you have such issues, use a pre-built grid, or find someone to help you troubleshoot (I can't help you as I have no experience with MO).
Install French Maid and Bunnygirl Outfit.
If you want to use Servitron's Maid costume, or the Bunnygirl costume assets, you'll need to download and install the original mod to get the required textures.
This mod doesn't need to work, but if you don't get those mods then you will be missing the textures for those equipment items.
Don't forget to support these mods if you use them.
NOTE: For server wearable items, check out the Chem Station under the "SERVITRON STUFF" category.
Use the "Servitron Install" holotape in the game.
This is required for the mod to work and you should do this before using Robot Workbench!
You should automatically get the holotape after the game's intro (once you leave Vault 111, or you've left, including near its entrance).
If you use Valdacil's item sorting, the holotape will be in your inventory under the MISC category as "[Settings] Servitron Install", or under the "Setting Holotapes" subcategory.
If the game doesn't give it to you automatically, you can make it in Chem Station in the "SERVITRON STUFF" category.
Load holotape in PipBoy, select the "INSTALL" option, and wait for the "Servitron: Installation Finished" notification.
Now you can build Servitron (see "How to" below).
One thing to remember!
If you decide to remove this mod, you must scrap all Servitrons and use the holotape "UNINSTALL" option before uninstalling/removing the addon.
If you don't do this, you may end up with a broken list of Automatron tables in your current game/save/play, most likely breaking any Automatron mod you decide to use in the future.
UPDATING
This is very important! ! !
Discard any Servitrons you may have.
Use a Robot Workbench in every settlement where you have any Servitron, and either scrap the Robot, or change it to some other type by changing the legs and torso to let's say a Protectron (you have to do this in the case of a Curie or Coddsworth if you turned them into a Servitron).
Use holotape UNINSTALL option.
Load the "Servitron Install" holotape (you can make it if you don't have it - see the installation instructions above for details).
Use the "Uninstall" option an …
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
