What this module does

Selective Loot lets you control what items Take All actually takes away when searching for dead NPCs.

Equipment items can be left behind by default, so looting all looters in a federation no longer means automatically stripping them naked.

You can also choose which additional item categories Take All should leave behind, including weapons, armor and clothing, miscellaneous items, bottle caps, ammo and consumables.

The goal is simple: search for what you want and forget the rest.

Function: Leave equipped items to prevent all items currently equipped by the deceased NPC from being removed.

leave the weapon in

On NPCs, keep weapons when using "Take All".

Leave armor and clothing behind

Prevents armor and clothing from being taken away automatically.

leave trash behind

Items Ignore junk items when using Take All.

Leave items that can be broken down, leave items that can be broken down into crafting materials.

Leave the cap on

Apparently even dead raiders deserve a little pocket change.

leave ammo in

In the back, the ammunition remains on the NPC.

Leave consumables behind,

Keep food, chemicals and other consumables in place.

All options are individually configurable via MCM.

scope

Selective Loot only affects "Take All" when searching for dead NPCs.

Containers, living NPCs, and power armor remain unchanged.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions

  1. Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
  2. There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
  3. Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
  4. Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.

Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
