introduce

It spent a lot of time in developer hell and went through a few complete rebuilds, but it's finally here. Armor is my (original author BrainstormEpilog, the same below) favorite non-powered armor in all Fallout games, and it is the main reason why I started making mods for FO4 a few years ago.

Features

The armor comes with several modding options, ranging from vanilla (like stat changes) to actual visual mods (like holsters or other tactical gear). All of the visual mod options that differ from the vanilla armor mod pool have some unique stats or other effects, making them truly useful additions rather than just visual mods.

I won't list all the mods the armor has in common with the base game armor, but here are the visual mods mentioned. Some vanilla armor mods do not work with armor due to balancing reasons.

Visual helmet module:

Standard visor up/down

Recon goggles up/down

Night vision goggles up/down

Ghillie suit camouflage, planned to be released together with the camouflage skin pack

Visible chest module:

standard

Luck Carrier: Extra Pockets

Assault: Prefer rifles

CQB: Prefer shotgun

Demolitionist: prefers explosives

Ghillie suit camouflage, planned to be released together with the camouflage skin pack

Visual arm module:

Some other planned mods

Visible leg module:

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions

  1. Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
  2. There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
  3. Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
  4. Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.

Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
