A custom greatsword designed specifically for scavengers!

Scavenger's Sword and Scabbard

While exploring the Commonwealth, you might stumble upon an old scavenger camp. Although he meets an unfortunate end, you find yourself with a new weapon and scabbard to call your own!

The Scavenger Sword is a fully modifiable blade handcrafted by Wanderer, a custom blade pieced together from the broken remnants of a better one. 4 complete stages of modding (Standard, Electrified, Serrated, Electrified and Serrated) that can be upgraded at the weapon workbench.

At the campsite you can also find scavenger scabbards, an easy way to carry your sword with you! (This uses armor slot 55 as a reference.

Location

The Scavenger's Sword and Scavenger's Scabbard are located in the southwest of Vault 111, near the Ranger Hut. The location is marked on the map to make it easier to find.

The sword and scabbard can also be crafted at the ChemStation under "Scavenger's Sword" for those who don't want to find the camp or run into any weird trouble at the camp.

Remark

The scabbard is made from the original male's body, so it's a bit far removed from the female body, but with some armor, it still looks good. I also know that the sword in the ChemStation is missing the blade - that's how the game renders modular weapons in the workbench. It functions well, it's just a visual thing.

Update 2.0 August 13th: Updated to fix incorrectly compressed textures.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions

  1. Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
  2. There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
  3. Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
  4. Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.

Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
