About this mod Machine translation

This mod is a retexture that removes rust and dirt from all power armor without making it look plastic. It also edits some PA-related objects such as Rig, Jetpack, etc.

Original address:

Prefix:

Brotherhood Power Armor Overhaul (optional but recommended):

Consistent Power Armor Overhaul (optional but recommended):

Power Armor Materials AND Paints (PAMAP) (optional but recommended):

Optional BOS PA with white chest logo file updated on February 27th:

If you don't like the red bra logo on the Brotherhood of Steel power armor like in the TV series, just load this optional file and it will change back to white.

Overwrite the main file with this file.

Updated on February 25, 2026:

Version 0.6

  • Now the mod only changes PA, PA frame and jetpack.

All other retextures are now optional because some users don't like them.

Version 0.5

  • Multiple color adjustments for PA and combat armor.
  • Brotherhood of Steel decals are now a darker red
  • Combat armor looks cleaner
  • Added several optional files, such as the original combat armor color or the star removal function for combat armor.

Update v0.4 on March 13th:

New combat armor retexture

  • Rust-free combat armor

-Recolor some paint jobs

BOS paint is now rust free.

The rusty texture was retained, replacing the yellow paint.

There are two almost identical white paint jobs. One is now blue (Vaultec).

In addition, two optional files have been added, one to remove the five-pointed star of the battle armor, and one to change the Predwen flanks from orange to red. They are now packaged and uploaded together with the main file. You can choose to install them according to your needs.

----

Are you tired of rust and dirt on your power armor? This mod is all you need.

This mod only edits textures. Therefore, it is compatible with any other mod.

No other mods are required, but I recommend installing it with the following mods for the best look:

  • Consistent power armor overhaul
  • Powered Armor Materials and Paints (PAMAP)
  • Brotherhood Power Armor Overhaul
  • Maximus' Iron Knights Brotherhood Armor Replacement

Features:

  • Replace texture only. Not modifying the material or anything else
  • Change the color of rust to the color of armor (metal, blue paint, green,...)
  • Recolored T-51 breastplate from green to metal
  • Removes rust from T-51 railroad paint while maintaining brow leather color
  • Black decals for T-60 military and winter paint.
  • Vaultec and Military painjobs now have slightly more saturated colors
  • The red decals on the BOS PA are just like in the TV series. (all levels)

-The higher ranked BOS PA is black with red accents instead of orange.

  • Changed jetpack texture to black with red details.
  • Retexturing of PA Rig and PA Display
  • Certain parts of the PA paint were also recolored, such as the mask, tubes, arms...
  • Model A and Raider PA still get rust.
  • Includes PA frame texture. You can simply retexture the overlay using your favorite PA frame.

Work in progress:

Remove marks and scratches from the following paint jobs to match their appearance to other jobs:

Shark, Flames, Pink, Vim! , Vim! Refresh, Sugar Bombs, Abraxo and Nuka-Cola.

I made this mod because the current one didn't meet my expectations.

They didn't remove all the rust from the power armor and changed the color of the PA very badly, leaving a dirty or plastic look.

I'd love to get some feedback to improve it.

I've copied, pasted, and edited so many textures that I no longer know which mod each texture originally belonged to.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions

  1. Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
  2. There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
  3. Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
  4. Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.

Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
