Rudogf the Dogmeat Reindeer outfit dog clothing
What is it and what does it do?
This is a small mod that adds a "reindeer" costume to Dogmeat. It's meant to be more of a wasteland piece together and then over or strictly for Christmas, but release it in time for Christmas anyway. The kit comes in two parts: the Rudogf Muzzle and the Rudogf Harness, which can be worn separately. They are crafted on the Chemistry Bench under Utility.
notes:
No really fancy screenshots since my main computer is currently offline and the old laptop I'm using doesn't enjoy running Fallout 4. (My laptop can barely run the game, hence the low res footage). Since this is a quick little model, Rudogf's GO (ground or world object) has the same model as the regular spiked muzzle and dog armor respectively.
Also, with the exception of the glowing red part of the nose, all parts of this outfit use vanilla textures, so if you have textures instead of vanilla Dogmeat armor textures or leather armor textures your outfit may not look like my images.
There may be some minor weight paint issues, but nothing too significant.
The version of Dogmeat used in my screenshots is my non-DLC Wolf Dogmeat Replacer, although the rig will still work with vanilla Dogmeat.
Black Dogmeat (Shadow) and Water Effect Dogmeat (Washy) are not included, but the wonderful drivable Commonwealth - Dogmeat Mod from BlahBlahDEEBlahBlah. He was great at testing the mod for me and it works on cute dogs too. The last two screenshots are also courtesy of him.

As my main computer is currently offline I'm left using my old laptop that doesn't really like running Fallout 4 so no really fancy screenshots for this one. (my laptop can barely run the game thus the low resolution shots). As as this is a quick little mod, the GO (ground or world object) of the Rudogf share the same model as the regular Spiked Muzzle and Dog Armor respectively.
Also with the glowing Red part of the Nose being the exception all of the parts of this outfit use vanilla textures so If you have textures that replace the vanilla Dogmeat armor textures or Leather armor textures your outfit may not look the same as my images.
There might be some minor weight paint issues on it but nothing too too major.
The version of Dogmeat used in my screenshots is my Non-DLC Wolf Dogmeat Replacer though the outfit will still work on vanilla Dogmeat.
The Black Dogmeat (Shadow) and water effect Dogmeat (Washy) are not included but are from BlahBlahDEEBlahBlah'swonderful Driveables of the Commonwealth - Dogs Mod. He was nice enough to playtest the mod for me and it also works well on the ridable dogs too. The last 2 screenshots are courtesy of him as well.
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
