Version 1.04

Updated the installer and requirements handling to make the mod's requirements easier to understand.

Updated on November 3rd:

Version 1.03

Fixed an issue where a destroyed bridge would be considered an obstacle to NPC pathfinding after you left the area and came back. Thanks to foolsama and screamline for alerting me to this issue!

Updated on October 25th:

Version 1.02

Added Shelter Deep Cleaning and Renovation Patch

Adjusted requirements so that Sanctuary Deep Clean and Remodel can also serve as a master file.

Fixed handling of the Rebuild Series AIO + Wobbly Repair Shelter bridge patch to ensure the correct bridge model is used.

Updated on October 21st:

Version 1.01

Due to complex patch interactions, the main file was replaced with the FOMOD installer.

Improved handling of The Rebuild Collection - AIO, including scrappable bridge functionality.

Adjusted the requirements so that either PRP or The Rebuild Collection - AIO can be used as the master file, as both mods exclude bridges from precomposition.

The main file and optional compatible files have been uploaded together, and you can choose to install them according to your needs.

Yes, I (original author Glitchfinder, the same below) understand. We've all seen this before. I'm honestly baffled that I even got the chance to post this. I kind of want this to be one of the first things Tenhats releases after they release a great settlement building tutorial that includes my fix scripts and how to use them. Yet here we are. Stay with me, a bridge and maybe a little funky. Anyway, enjoy the bridge. Or don't. After all, I can't actually make you do anything.

Features

Allows players to repair the old North Bridge using the workshop interface.

That's it. That's the whole mod.

Marked as lightweight plugin (esp with esl flag) to minimize impact on load order.

FAQ

**How to start using this mod? **

Just install it! No configuration or special steps are required.

**Is this safe to use within an existing archive? **

Yes.

**Why not give it a scrappy restoration look? **

The original North Bridge was hand-built by farmers in the 1600s. It has been rebuilt and replaced several times over the years, but ultimately it is one of the simplest and oldest structures in the Commonwealth. As such, this is one of the few things in the game that I fully trust the player character to be able to recover from by examining existing structures and replacing materials as needed.

**Why is PRP needed? **

Because BenReirimanu got tired of these bridge mods, disabled the pre-combine and excluded the bridge from the pre-combine as a baseline feature of PRP. This means that if I need PRP, I don't need to provide a custom pre-combine just to make the bridge repairable.

**Will you make a version that doesn’t require PRP? **

Only if it doesn't involve me rebuilding precompositions or uploading content that disables them. So I might be willing to upload something that relies on a different mod that also excludes bridges from pre-union.

**What about other bridge mods? Why shouldn't I use them? **

You should use whichever one you like. This mod works with texture replacers that affect damaged bridges, but is not compatible with other shelter bridge model replacers.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions

  1. Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
  2. There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
  3. Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
  4. Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.

Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
