What does it do?
This mod changes a lot of things. While wandering the wasteland, I always wondered why every NPC looked so bland and shallow, there were no realistic facial animations for what was going on in the game, and even if they existed, they weren't enough to make the player feel anything. Characters in many places, this mod aims to change that.
There are three different versions of this mod that do the same job, but I'll cover the different levels below.
IFA – the serious version
This is the most serious version of the bunch and is recommended for most players who want an immersive experience in the game.
IFA – Super Grain Edition
I'm a super grain now, like a super grain. This super grain version is right in the middle between the serious version and the Excelsior version, so if you think the serious version is too serious or the Excelsior version is too high, choose this file.

IFA - Excelsior version
It's original silly, over the top, laugh out loud. Considering you're here, you know what to expect from this release, so be warned, it's not for the faint of heart. There’s no mouth cut now either, so wild!
IFA - Excelsior - Legacy Edition
This is the original version before the REMADE version came out, it's just like the Excelsior version, but it includes the cutout of the mouth and other weird quirks. This version is shown in all the old videos below. (This version is now in the installer too!).
How to install?
Use a mod manager of your choice (I recommend Mod Organizer 2) and download the installer and select what you want.
As mentioned above, I strongly recommend against manually installing this mod as you will need to delete a large number of files.
Mod Incompatibilities:
Any mod that modifies the default .tri file used by this mod.
Loading order:
The files are loose so there is no loading order.
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
