Recipes76 - Chem and Food Recipes from Fallout 76 Recipes from Fallout 76

Overview

  • 114 new recipes for crafting items inspired by Fallout 76 consumables.
  • Search around the map for quests aiming to find all recipes and complete Cookbook76.
  • NPC traders sell chemicals and food from Recipes76.

Search QUEST

4 ways to finish.

Each R76 recipe set is found to spawn in containers and NPCs' inventories.

Or find recipe collections hidden in 8 locations on the Commonwealth map: each discovery will unblock 10-15 recipes.

Or find Cookbook76, which unlocks all recipes at once.

Or, for the lazy ones, set up holotape to unlock all recipes.

RECIPES76 vs FALLOUT 76

  • Recipes76 only introduces recipes from Fallout 76 that are suitable for Fallout 4 lore (such as uncooked charred and colored flux).
  • To make up for the lack of some Fallout 76 consumables and get balanced gameplay, this mod adds some new easy-to-use craftable items: some of them are the same ones seen in Fallout 76 but are suitable for crafting ingredients with Fallout 4 (e.g. cranberries replaced by tar, white flowers by white flowers, ash by ash flowers, etc.). Other added items should be in Fallout 76 but are not for unknown reasons: further nectar, simple teas, infused teas, soups, stews, purees, and cooked meats.
  • Fallout 76 has a different balance compared to Fallout 4, and of course, this feature affects the buff values applied by chemicals and food. Fallout 4, in particular, shows higher buffs, so it means Recipes76 uses Fallout 76's consumables and increases their buff value in most cases.
  • Crafting in Fallout 76 generally requires more components than in Fallout 4: this mod introduces a simplified recipe pasted onto the original recipe.

SEARCHING QUEST

RECIPES76 vs FALLOUT 76

  • Recipes76 introduces only Fallout 76's recipes fitting the lore of Fallout 4 (e.g. no cooked scorchbeasts and colored fluxes).
  • In order to compensate the lack of some Fallout 76's consumables and get, however, a balanced gameplay, this mod adds some new lore-friendly craftable items: some of them are the same seen in Fallout 76 but adapted to be made with Fallout 4's ingredients (e.g. cranberry is replaced by tarberry, soot flower by hubflower, ash rose by ash blossom, etc.). Other added items should be in Fallout 76 but there aren't for unknown reasons: further flower nectars, simple teas, steeped teas, soups, stews, purees, and cooked meat.
  • Fallout 76 has a different balancing compared to Fallout 4 and this feature affects, of course, buff magnitudes applied by chems and food. Fallout 4, in particular, shows higher buffs so it means Recipes76 takes Fallout 76's consumables and increases their buff magnitudes in most of the cases.
  • Fallout 76's crafting normally requires more components than Fallout 4: this mod introduces simplified recipes sticking, however, to the original ones.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions

  1. Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
  2. There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
  3. Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
  4. Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.

Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
