Real Troughs

About this mod Machine translation
Tiny quick mod. I know the troughs are popular right now, but seeing those as motivation for finally completing the model got me started for a while. I'm tired of feeding Brahmins a) invisible air and b) broken tubs. I mean, players can make a turret from scratch and then build an entire multi-story building, why not give your food/milk source (milk that milk!) a proper eating area? And some food?
This adds 2 new meshes and textures, all 100% crafted from scratch into Workshop. One for the feeder and one for the merchant caravan post. They are cement with some welded rusty iron blocks underneath for support (I modeled these off a photo of a DIY cow trough I found.) They are also filled with Brahman feed pellets.
They are independent and will appear next to their vanilla counterparts in the Workshop menu. Since it's self-contained, it's also compatible with any other slot mod that fills vanilla slots and the like.
This has to be an ESP because the vanilla slots share the exact same mesh/model with all the other baths in the wasteland and settlements, so unless you want every one of them to suddenly turn into a feeding slot, the ESP needs to go directly to the new mesh :)
Install
- Activate using NMM or drag and drop into /data/ folder
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
