About this mod Machine translation
A lore-friendly retelling of Fallout 4's northwest gangs. This mod overhauls the existing Raider Gangs in the early areas of the game and creates a common narrative.
This mod focuses heavily on world-building, turning the standard Raider dungeon into a shared narrative that showcases the downfall of the Lexington Raider gang.

Did you find Fallout 4's world-building lacking? Ever wonder why, 200+ years later, gangs haven't transcended their simple "kill or be killed" lifestyle? Then this mod is for you!
Gangs of Lexington draws on aspects of medieval politics, mafia-style organizations, and local history, using Souls-style storytelling to tell the story across multiple locations. Locations will no longer be isolated instances but part of a larger puzzle.
Factions and their place within them;
Absany Farm: A small farm that once provided food and water to the now crippled Rustback gang, who were left without protection and at the mercy of any opportunistic gang that might cross them.
Walden: Jet sellers no longer threatened with violence by dominant powers
Rustback: Former lord and master of the Northwest Confederacy. However, they are torn apart by the mysterious death of their former wise leader.
Roadkill: The rebel faction. Once separated from the Rustbacks, they believed their former leader was nothing more than a chemical addict. Now they lay siege to their former castle, waiting for the rest of their gang to see their point of view.
Shefs: Wandering Salvagers - Although they are not naturally aggressive, they will defend their "claims" with their lives. Although, Scavs usually have a short lifespan...
What does this mod actually add?
Renamed several raider gangs in the area and added lore notes and terminal entries for players to piece together the story
Unique mini boss
Unique weapons that both enhance the narrative and add dark irony - all things "Fallout" are destined to be
Several short stories, focusing on the overall narrative
More content coming soon!
More to come?
USAF - While it was originally planned and the lore was written, I ultimately chose to make this a separate ESP due to compatibility issues with popular mods. However, the "base version" of the mod doesn't lack for key story details due to its location on the world map.
Bells and whistles to enhance the experience
What about internal overhauls or new armor and weapons?
For pure compatibility reasons, this mod will not overhaul the internal battery at this time. Also, I'm a writer - not a modeler, and I don't want to add half a dozen requirements to a mod. That being said, if any modelers would like to lend a hand, I'd be happy to collaborate.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
