RECIPES76 vs FALLOUT 76
- Recipes76 only introduces recipes from Fallout 76 that are suitable for Fallout 4 lore (such as uncooked burnt and colored flux).
- To make up for the lack of some Fallout 76 consumables and get balanced gameplay, this mod adds some new easy-to-use penetrable items: some of them are the same ones seen in Fallout 76 but are suitable for crafting ingredients with Fallout 4 (e.g. Cranberries replaced by Tar, White Fireworks by White Flowers, Ashes by Ash Flowers, etc.). Other items added that should be in Fallout 76 but are not for unknown reasons: further nectar, simple teas, steeped teas, soups, stews, purees, and cooked meats.
- Fallout 76 has a different balance compared to Fallout 4, and of course, this feature affects the buff values applied by chemicals and food. In particular, Fallout 4 shows higher buffs, so it means Recipes76 takes Fallout 76's consumables and increases their buff value in most cases.
- Crafting in Fallout 76 generally requires more components than in Fallout 4: this mod introduces a simplified recipe pasted onto the original recipe.
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
