What kind of newspaper only publishes five articles? What does Piper do in his spare time? How can Nat afford to eat?
Publick Occurrences Expanded is a simple immersion mod that adds additional news articles from the pen of Piper Wright. Just check in with Nat (Public Occurrences in Diamond City) to find new, lore-friendly coverage of your adventures in the Commonwealth.
To start receiving these articles, you need to complete Story of the Century and get the option to have Piper as a companion. It's best to enjoy this mod starting with a new save so you don't get all the articles at once.

Next generation upgrade compatibility
I'm currently too busy IRL to test this mod to ensure Next-Gen compatibility. Some users have reported issues with Better Notes, which this mod depends on. A workaround for DLC users may be to install the VR version, which is identical to the DLC version except that it doesn't require Better Notes. This will retain the paper texture but revert to the original chicken scratch font.
My goal is to fully test everything by early June 2024. If Better Notes can be fixed, then I'll probably bundle it with the mod since it's shared under an open license. Thank you for your patience!

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
