About this mod Machine translation
Yep, another non-PA jetpack :).
Prerequisite: Fallout 4 Script Extender (if you want to use the F4SE version):
The F4SE version and the non-F4SE version are now packaged. The optional jet belt smoke and reduced backpack model files are uploaded together. You can choose to install them according to your needs.
Updated on March 8th:
Version 1.3
Added 10 more decals - Corvega, Mass Fusion, Nuka Cola, Poseidon Energy, Raider, Red Rocket, RobCo, Slocum's Joe, Vim and Vim Fresh.
Enables the "Two Sided" flag in the jetpack's BGSM material.
Original address:

At the Asuka crash site near the droid processing yard, you'll find a damaged jetpack prototype near the military trunk. With this item, some components, and the Science 1 trait, you can craft a non-PA jetpack prototype at the Chemistry Workbench. The jetpack takes up no fuselage slots and weighs 10, 5 DR and 5 ER. It can be modified in the Armor Workbench:
Others --> Efficiently built to reduce fuel consumption, requires materials and science 3. Only in F4SE version. Set initial and ongoing AP cost to half of vanilla values. It is an override of game settings, not cumulative.
Paint --> 11 decal options: Atom Cats, BoS, Enclave, Gunners, Institute, Jaws, MM, RR, Vault-Tec, West Tek and Wolfenstein. Decals require no materials, only the Armorer 2 perk. They increase Charisma by +1.
The jetpack increases jump height and reduces fall damage by 50%. The plugin has the ESL flag. Should be placed before PRP or other mods with the same cell precomposed.
Some information:
The original model used as the source is in the second screenshot and is present in the game files.
Like my (original author robotized, the same below) previous mod, I used my method to attach the model to the player without occupying the body slot. This has limitations, which makes it difficult to make some modifications.
I'm trying to make a model for male and female characters. This allows me to add decals. Otherwise it would have been more work and I might have given up on the decal idea.
The jetpack may work well with some torso armor, but may collide with other armor.
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
