Fallout 4 Power Armor Shoulder Mounted Rocket Launcher
Just in time for Christmas (batteries not included)
I made this for my own game a few years ago and decided to finally share it with the world so others can use it.
The PA Mounted Rocket Launcher can be crafted at the Chemistry Workbench and has its own list, so it should be easy to find. You can have the ship in three colors (red, black, and green), but the aiming device only has one color. The rocket pod is just an appearance and does not actually launch anything. The target unit is what actually launches the rocket. Just point the aiming unit in the direction you want to fire the rocket and fire. You also have the "Scope/Scope" option, which lets you try to put the rocket in a more specific location. Additionally, the rocket pod can be equipped on any ability suit and will disappear if you take off the power armor. Don't worry, it's still there and equipped, it just won't appear on empty power armor. I've never figured out how to make it work without adding it to the set of all abilities in the game, but I'm not willing to do that.
Rocket pods can only be installed on power armor!
There's simply no way to equip it unless you're wearing power armor. The aiming device can be used, but the rocket pod must be used with the in-game power armor in order to see it.
I don't support Munitions, so I won't be allowed to make patches for it. If you want a patch that allows you to use "regular" ammo, I suggest you make one yourself using Caliber Complex. I think this is a better mod.
This mod is marked as ESL, so it won't take up any mod slots.
The aiming unit doesn't have any modifications or special animations, nor will I animate any for it. It only uses the basic missiles from the game, nothing more. There are no tier lists for any mod I make, as these items are designed for the player and their companions/followers. They are usually too powerful to fall into the hands of any potential enemy.
Mods are just that, they won't be modified unless it's a game crashing issue.
If you can't handle it, don't use this mod. It really is that simple.
If you get a crash while crafting weapons at the Chem Bench, go download and enable the "No More Legendary Screen" mod, this mod will prevent the crash. Make sure you get a copy of the correct mod for the version of the game you own.
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
