Power Armor

Tired of your power armor not meeting your standards? Are you tired of your power armor cracking when you pick up that dead Reaver's pipe gun or that oil can? Tired of wondering why you have a higher carry weight outside of your powerful armor? Me too.

what this mod does

This mod increases the weight of all power armor. Added carrying weight options are +100, +150, +200, +250, +300.

Why

I'm tired of having armor with deep pockets, but every time I use power armor I lose overall weight. It just doesn't make sense and isn't very friendly. Why does a Power Exterior Suit allow you to carry less than you were before you climbed? After looking for an existing model that adds carry weight to the power armor, all I can find are rebalanced or models that add more than just carry weight. These are all good but not what I want so I created this.

A note on the in-game effects of this mod

During the game you may notice that your power armor adds more weight than you selected to carry (i.e. you have +100 files installed but gain +160 weight). Keep in mind that power armor still increases your character's strength, which also increases your carrying weight. Each level of strength increases carrying weight by 10, so if you install the +100 level of this mod and have 5 strength, when you go into your strength armor you may find that you have 11 strength, which means your new carrying weight will be increased by 160 (+100 from the mod, +60 from the vanilla strength bonus).

Install this mod

To install using NMM, simply click the Download (NMM) button and select the desired carry weight version in NMM.

For manual installation, download the .zip file. Unzip the file and copy the .esp file to the folder that says the carry weight you want to add, then paste the .esp into the Fallout 4 Data folder (the default path is C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Fallout 4\Data).

compatibility

This mod should be compatible with all other PA mods. If you encounter compatibility issues, try using other PA modules in the load order before loading Power Armor. This should allow you to use both mods at the same time. If you're still having compatibility issues, please email or post about it and I'll work to resolve the issue.
