Welcome to my (original author Thing333, the same below) first large clothing mod, I have always been a person who likes the Militia style, after playing the Walking Dead Saints and Sinners a few times, I decided to try to make my own equipment pack for the Militia
A huge, and I mean huge thanks to DefaltTheFixer for not only letting me use a ton of gear from the Mercenary and Gunner gear packs, but also teaching me all the behind-the-scenes processes when making outfit packs, and a huge thanks to JKruse for walking me through a lot of problems and listening to my stupid questions, haha
Now this mod contains 20 new costumes that can be used at the Chemistry Bench, some of which create new roles for the Militia such as Riot Control Units, FFU as well as the Settler Guard, the mod also contains 17 helmets and helm variants, trying to deviate slightly from the Leather Hats (as other mods already have hat variants) This mod does not edit the Militia LL as I don't want to cause any conflicts or issues with other mods that do the same thing, like "We Are the Militia", so now you can just craft it at the Chem Bench
Now on to some new lore nonsense!
So for these costumes, new, little bits of lore that I came up with, that won't necessarily apply to your game, these are just little things that I made up
Riot Troops: These are basically heavily armored soldiers who get in your face and take bullets to the chest
F.F.U (Feast disinfecting Unit): The FFU are responsible for traveling with scouts to find settlements, once a habitable settlement is found, the FFU is sent to clear the entire settlement of hostiles, they are better suited to dealing with hostile animals such as animals or feral ghouls, hence the name (Feast disinfecting)
Settler Guards: True to their name, the Settler Guards are a branch of the militia made up of settlers who defend their homes rather than go out to fight. These settlers are not considered conscripts and are responsible for the defense of their own settlements (of course they get help). These guards have less armor and supplies.
Remember, I just made this up, you can build whatever militia you want with this mod
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
