Tutorial - Build using console commands
This is a series of 29 images showing how I take screenshots using various pose models and some useful tools.
Remember - this is how I do it. Others may have others - probably better conventions.
Hopefully this will be an inspiration to get you started. Eventually you'll do things your own way.

Some very useful mods:
Better console by kassent - needsF4SE
On top of the ID number you can get the name of the person/object you pointed to and clicked on. For example: "Piper" or "turret" or "wall" or .....
Raumfliege's companion whistle
Place all active companion ads next to you. If you have - say 5 active - it can get crowded very quickly!
Basically it's just like the console command "player.placeatme" without the id of hiss. It solves all these problems at the same time.

I use the "prt scr" key to take a screenshot. This will place the .jpg image in the root of the FO4 folder. (Using FO4.exe etc.)
Others use FRAPS, which will save to a folder of your choice in one of several formats

The console commands I used, roughly in the order I used when impersonating
A note about console commands: they are not case-sensitive. You can use all uppercase letters or all lowercase letters or a mix.
PLAYIDLE - used to initiate poses. Must be done before using TAI on the target.
TAI - Toggle Artificial Intelligence. Freeze the person you use it with. You can use MODPOS and MODANGLE to move them freely without risking them breaking free of their stuff.
SUCSM - Change Freefly camera movement speed in TFC/TFC 1. The default speed is 20, which is too fast for precise movement.
I use "SUCSM 2" others use SUCSM 1 = slow. Or SUCSM 5 or more = faster. Experiment and you'll find what works for you.
This only needs to be done once per game session.
TFC - Switch Free Camera. You can move the camera freely at a speed selected by SUCSM. Freeze all movement. Including characters for which you have no TAI. Your character will still be idle. Make sure you are a third person before using it. Or you won't be able to see yourself.
Or TFC 1 - Switch Free Camera. You can move the camera freely at a speed selected by SUCSM. Freeze all movement. Include your characters. Make sure you are a third person before using it. Or you won't be able to see yourself. MODPOS x, y or z any number. Moves the selected actor any number of units in the x, y, or z direction. For example: "MODPOS X 10" moves the target 10 units on the X axis. "MODPOS X -30" moves it 30 units in the opposite direction. The same goes for Y and Z.
MODANGLE X, Y and Z arbitrary numbers - Rotate the target any number of degrees around the X/Y/Z axes.
Mobs can only move around their Z-axis - ie: the vertical axis.
TM - Toggle HUD. For a messy picture.
Tutorial – posing using console commands
This is a series of 29 pictures illustrating how I go about posing for screenshots, using various pose mods and a couple of useful tools.
Bear in mind – this MY way of doing this. Other people might have other –maybe better- routines.
Hopefully this will serve as an inspiration to get you started. Eventually you’ll get to do things your own way.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
