Introduction

This is a mod that allows players to resurrect themselves without reloading saves, ensuring a continuous and immersive gaming experience. This mod also removes the auto-death reload save, so it's at the user's mercy when to resurrect the player. Comes with various settings and full MCM integration.

Features

Resurrection location

The mod now provides players with three different resurrection location options:

Instant Resurrection: Resurrects the player where they were killed. Requires a defibrillator, which can be crafted at the Chemistry Station.

Resurrection pod: Resurrect the player to the previously created and last registered resurrection pod. These pods can be crafted anywhere via Workshop mode.

Designated Settlement: Resurrects the player to a settlement, this can be configured via the menu. Now offers a choice of 10 different settlements across the Commonwealth.

Resurrection hotkey

When a player dies, you can press a hotkey to access the respawn menu, which offers a variety of options for respawn locations.

NOTE: If using scripted hotkeys, they should be pressed in the menu as the game disables player input on death.

Example: Press hotkey "B" in the console menu or pause menu.

These two keys do the same thing, but have some differences:

Scripted Hotkeys: F4SE-based hotkey functionality. Defaults to "B" and can be changed to "H" or "O" via the Holotape or Mod configuration menu.

MCM Hotkeys: Highly recommended. They have no user input restrictions and are wide ranging.

set up

As mentioned above, this mod offers detailed settings in both Holotape and MCM. They are:

Revive and Utility hotkeys.

Revive Locations (or Methods).

Auto Revive Mod Toggle: Determines whether the Revive menu should be displayed when the key is pressed. Enabling this option will launch the reanimator via a specific method based on user settings, which can be configured.

Recovery and Penalties: Radiation recovery percentage and capped penalties.

Visual and sound effects switching.

The resurrection cabin used as the resurrection location

Pod, found in the Workshop -> Special category. If activated, you can use them as resurrection locations. Pod Revive slots are renewed with each activation, and only one slot is available at a time.

Once a pod is decommissioned, and it is the last active pod or shares the same location as that pod, the "Resurrection Marker" will be disabled, meaning you cannot select the Resurrection Pod option in the resurrection menu. You can activate another Pod to enable the flag again.

The pods come in three color variants: white, red and black.

Craftable defibrillator

The "Resuscitate Now" option requires a defibrillator to work. The defibrillator has its own model and plays sound effects when used. They can be crafted in the Chem Station under the "Utilities" category.

Visual and sound effects

In order to bring some immersion to the resurrection process, this mod introduces some effects. Image Space Adapter will play when the player has completed Revival and has just woken up. Meanwhile, players gasp and recover from death.

Both effects can be configured in two menus.

Debugging and Maintenance

The mod provides several useful functions in the holotape & config menu to help users deal with some known bugs and reinstall/uninstall the mod.

Known bugs and debugging

The following are known bugs and remedies:

Stumped Limbs: If the player dies while paralyzed, he/she will remain limping. Typically, when this bug occurs, you'll find that your character is stuck in limp mode while holding a gun. This mod provide …

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions

  1. Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
  2. There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
  3. Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
  4. Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.

Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
