About this mod Machine translation

This mod adds the ancient and powerful PKM machine gun to Fallout 4, with a ton of customization options ranging from cool to crazy.

As shown in the picture, the module area has been a bit weak recently, so we need to get some inventory.

Extended Weapon Systems are required by default, but so far, only PKM is required for this front. Additional installation is useless, so I put a patch made by PrecisionTacos to remove the EWS front-end in the bag. After installing it with MO2 or Vortex, please refer to the last picture for ESP sorting. Source address:

In addition, I also packaged and uploaded the 2k body, AMD patch (to fix the purple sight problem, if not installed), high-quality shell texture replacement (optional) and Chinese patch.

Chinese address:

  • Reticle customization, each reflex sight has 9 different aiming lines.
  • Support for Scrivener's Scopes Framework with custom scope overrides for remote scopes.
  • Quite a lot of customization options.
  • Realistic belt delivery ammo animation using extended skeleton.
  • Full LL integration, the weapon will spawn in Gunners and Raiders as well as in the store.

Fallout 4 version 1.10.162 or higher

Due to recent changes to Fallout 4 and the latest updates to the Creation Toolkit, which were made to expand the number of forms a plugin can have, this means that this mod and most mods released from now on will not run in any version prior to 1.10.162, if you find that the game crashes or the mod just "doesn't show up" after installation, then you most likely are not running the game on this version and above and you must update.

While this isn't a hard requirement, I (Nova, one of the original authors) did recommend using Svaalbard's non-random projectile ejection direction to make the shells pop down more consistently.

How to get weapons?

There are many ways to obtain weapons:

  • Crafted at the Chemistry Workbench
  • There is also an option to craft new ammo types from the Chemistry Workbench under the same entry.

-Integrated LL, you should be able to find it in weapon vendors, gunners/raiders/triggermen and loot containers.

  • Console command or in-game ESP explorer.

How do you get bullets to penetrate cover?

Credit for figuring out a way to make enemies take projectile damage while hiding behind cover goes to Jojosmo and his real-time cover penetration frame, and while I didn't use his frame directly, it gave me a hard time figuring out how he did it.

XYZ is unrealistic!

I don't care if something is crafted in real life, players aren't ordering pre-made parts from the shop they're creating and assembling them using the tools available to them, which with a little suspension of disbelief allow for many creative and interesting customization options someone living in a post-apocalyptic world might craft. Also, if you don't like something, the easy solution is to simply ignore it and choose one of the many realistic options I've included.

Patch for Horizon or other overhaul mods?

I won't be making any patches for other mods, anyone is welcome to make and post their own as long as it's just esp.

Xbox version?

Anyone is welcome to port to xbox, just give credit.

What armor/outfits/presets are included in the screenshots?

Almost none of the screenshots are mine (because I don't like screenshots), and most of them are private mods, so don't bother asking.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions

  1. Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
  2. There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
  3. Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
  4. Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.

Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
