About this mod Machine translation
summary:
This mod allows you to have a custom radio station with up to 50 songs.
It will not affect existing radio stations, but create an entirely new one
You can use any music as long as it is in .wav or .xwm format
As far as I know, radio stations cover the entire map
Install:
Install the files to your fallout 4 files or NMM
There are 10-50 files in the data section located in Data\sound\fx\mus\radio\PersonalRadio
These 10/20/30/40/50 files are numbered 1-10/20/30/40/50 (note: now there are 5 versions in one download, you have to choose one these are the 10, 20, 30, 40 and 50 song versions)
All you have to do is find the music in .wav or .xwm format, then copy those to another folder and rename them numerically so they can be played in the game before copying them to the correct folder (note: if running the songs in .xwm then delete all the .wav first)
renew:
Copy custom songs to another folder on your computer
Uninstall the old version of the mod and install the new version
Then paste your copied songs back into the PersonalRadio folder
Frequently Asked Questions:
Does anyone know of a good MP3 to WAV converter? Audacity has been recommended, but also requires crappy plugins, so try this one. Please also note:
Not all .wav converters work so it might be a case of trial and error, I'm not sure if this one works but I've been told it does.
Can I add more or fewer songs? Yes, you can choose the amount that works for you, but it is currently only set to 5 specific variables
Songs playing one after another? Yes, they do it in the moment, I will probably always consider this as an option
Can you make a randomized version so my songs don't play in order? It actually came soon after a year!
mistake:
PipPOD only plays silent (fix - uninstall PipPOD, clean save, then reinstall PipPOD)
Sometimes when you try to play a tape playback the audio will repeat to avoid this error, just turn off the radio before playing the tape, if it has occurred the error has occurred before loading the save, still looking for a fix...
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
