About this mod Machine translation
I think the main reason a lot of Pip-Boy mods surfaced is just because, well... the vanilla one was ugly XD, but I couldn't find any that suited my taste, so I decided to make one of my own. I made it mainly for myself, but I thought it turned out really cool, (I don't say that because I made it, but because I really think it's true), so I decided to share it. If you like it, please remember to like it so others can enjoy it too! :)
introduce:
It has a black matte finish that simulates a rubber coating, which means the main components don't react to light like a steel finish. The plastic parts and screen bezel also have less reflective surfaces, making them look more realistic. I did this intentionally to add a reasonable explanation as to why corrosion and oxides do not affect the Pip-Boy after 210 years.
I also removed some of the nastiness and a few other parts of the screen, but didn't quite maintain a level of realism.
The labels have also been recolored to adapt them to the red light I'm using in the Pip-Boy. (Future colors can be added if anyone requests it! (and/or I feel like it is) XD). Update: Blue, Green, White, Purple, Amber and Teal versions available!
Pip-Boy's interior adds a new comfort foam with a hexagonal surface that adapts to a variety of arms! Yes, Vault-Tec paid me to say this ;) Update: Black interior version added!
Finally, I added a tiny thunder to the power connector because it looked boring when I saw it in its white finish; with that, it looks more... "powerful" :D I hope you like it! Update: Optional didn't add thunder version for those who don't want to be too powerful :P
Install:
Copy the "textures" folder and "materials" folder to the "data" folder located in the Fallout 4 installation directory. If asked, please cover.
important! If you haven't already, you'll need to enable the mod first. Follow this guide to do so: How to enable mods in Fallout 4
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
