The Chinese address will be updated on July 1, 2025:
In addition, take this opportunity to upload optional 4K texture files that have not been uploaded before, as well as two sets of replaceable synthetic human-style reloading animations, and choose to install them according to your needs.
~~Personal update on May 2nd: Chinese guide (Author: PLSET):
Update March 16: Fixed the unnatural twitching issue of the synth when reloading with this weapon
Fixed the problem of the gun stock floating when weapons with advanced gun stock modifications are dropped. The version number is updated to 1.02.
Update on March 12th: Fixed the problem of crashing after installing the mod, the version number was updated to 1.01
ESP and ESL versions are now packaged. You can choose one to install according to your personal needs. In addition, an optional 4K texture patch has been uploaded.
As the title states, the photon disintegration gun is a synthetic prototype weapon brought by Mr. Neeher. After installation, it will appear in the drops of synthetic or academy containers. It supports shooting from the first, third and power armor perspectives.
(Note: If the archive loaded after installation is a version of the academy that has been eliminated, the mod will automatically detect and add the entries made by the Chemistry Workbench, so there is no need to worry about not getting them)
The author has also updated two sets of reloading animations, one specifically for synths and robot companions, and a set of special reloading animations specifically for the player's own robotic arm. However, I have not personally used these two sets of animations. Please download and install them according to your needs.
----
Photon jammer! Their early research weapons. They had this model before building the current style Institute Rifle. Early synthesizers were paired with it, creating an efficient machine that could get things done quickly. Since only synths need weapons, they create them to maximize their abilities. The newer Institute rifles are designed to work better with Coursers, Institute staff, and Gen 3 synths.
With this in mind, 1st or 2nd generation synths who wield this weapon have their own special weapon reload, designed to take advantage of the synth's unique body mechanics to perform the reload quickly and efficiently in a way that a human could never do. This is really intimidating!
Since this weapon is considered obsolete, I made this weapon a little rarer.
The video below shows off the weapons and stuff! Game time is approximately 2 minutes and 30 seconds.
Introduction
Unlike Select series weapons, this weapon can only be found on Institute synthesizers or staffs. The likelihood of it spawning isn't too common either.
They can also be legendary, with Photon Disruptor being added to random legendary rolls. Appears starting at level 19.
Once obtained for the first time, the weapon can be crafted at the Chemistry Workbench under the PHOTON DISRUPTOR.
Warning: Spoilers for the Institute story:
If the Institute is destroyed in your save game, the mod will detect this and allow you to simply craft the weapon at the Chemistry Workbench.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
