Personal Music Retro Tapes Personal Music Retro Tapes

With this mode you can listen to your favorite songs on personal holotapes, just like real old cassettes! !!!! Big update!!!!

A few hours later I made a big update! Now you have the following:

  • 20 audio cassettes.
  • These holotapes can be made in CHEMLAB under the "PMRT RetroTapes Single Song" category.
  • Single Song Tapes now have looping functionality activated.
  • Now the game name for each tape is (#1 Single Song HoloTape) PMRT, (#2 Single Song HoloTape) PMRT.....and so on.

Remember to convert your songs to: .WAV 16 BIT

Here is a website where you can:

If you have problems with previous versions, you need to delete the old esp! This is a new standalone esp and does not contain the tapes from the first version of the mod!

In this new version you need to put the songs in this folder:

  • Fallout 4\Data\Sound\FX\Personal Music Retro Tapes\[Single Song Holotape 1] PMRT\For the first tape!
  • Fallout 4\Data\Sound\FX\Personal Music Retro Tapes\[Single Song Holotape 2] PMRT\for the second tape!

-etc.

I'm working on another update using MULTIPLE SONGS TAPES and I'll post it soon. !!!! Please pay attention! ! ! !

Install:

Place the Data folder into the Fallout 4 game folder and activate the mod esp using NMM or VORTEX!

After doing this, go here: C:\User\Documents\My Games\Fallout 4\ and edit Fallout4Costum.ini with the following two strings:

[Archive]

bInvalidateOlderFiles = 1

sResourceDataDirsFinal =!!! For older versions!

To listen to your favorite songs, place them in the following folders:

Fallout 4\Data\Sound\FX\Personal Music Retro Tape 1\and overwrite the sample files!

You can put up to 15 songs in this folder! Each song needs to be converted to 16-bit in .wav format and renamed to song1, song2....etc. ! Do not re-upload!!!

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions

  1. Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
  2. There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
  3. Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
  4. Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.

Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
