Paper Components - DLC Fan Patch DLC Paper Patch
I really liked KazFoxsen's Paper Components mod when I first got Fallout 4, and having recently returned to the game I wanted to dive into his mod again, but it's a bit sad to see that it hasn't been updated. This is my attempt to integrate the mod more into the dlc and make the paper more useful.
This is a "mod of mod" that updates Paper Components to use DLC to work better and tweak a few things. This does not include the mod, this works as an extension to the mod and requires you to have everything in the original mod, including the esp. This should be compatible with mods that require and use paper components. This mod was made with version 1, where pre-war money was changed to give paper, but if you prefer pre-war money to give cloth, this should still work with version 2.
Items changed to paper:
Burnt Technical Manual - 4 Papers
Improved bowling ball schematic - 1 sheet of paper
Deed - 1 paper bond - 1 copy
paper
Manuscript - 1 paper
Land Grant - 1 paper copy
Coca-Cola cup - 1 paper
Pizza tray - 1 sheet
Burger Tray – 1 Paper
Hot dog tray – 1 paper
Nuka-Cola cup and straw – 1 paper, 1 plastic
Nuka-Cola cup assembly – 3 paper, 1 plastic
Some of them were quest items but were set to cloth anyway, so I changed those too.
Removable objects changed to paper:
Cardboard box - 1 asbestos, 2 paper
The DLC also introduces many recipes that make more sense with paper as a component, with this version of Contraptions some of the pre-war food recipes now using paper instead of plastic or cloth.
The DLC even features posters using fabric instead of paper! nausea! Vaulted posters now require 5 sheets of paper instead of 2 pieces of cloth, and mounted posters now require 2 sheets of paper instead of 1 piece of cloth.
Finally, I added a new trash item made from paper that can be crafted in the Utility section of the Chemistry Station. You can make it using 2 types of adhesive, 1 type of purified water and 8 types of paper, resulting in a piece of trash consisting of 3 pieces of cloth. The purpose of adding this item is to add a way to change the fabric from cloth to paper since the original fabric becomes less common due to its change.

The DLC even introduces posters which use cloth instead of paper! Disgusting! Now the vault posters require 5 paper to craft instead of 2 cloth, and the contraptions powered posters require 2 paper instead of 1 cloth. …
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
