Pack Attack NPC Edition
About this mod Machine translation
Prerequisite: F4SE (becomes required after 1.60)
Introduction: This module will greatly enhance the combat AI of NPC groups. These enemy groups will no longer rush towards you recklessly, but will instead rest and cover, retreat and flank, run away and hide, or even wait for an opportunity somewhere. They will become more adept at ambushes rather than suicidal charges, and will switch to unarmed combat mode when necessary. Simply put, the PA-NPC module will completely overhaul and upgrade all combat AI that already supports NPC groups.
They will now decide their tactical actions based on specific events happening around them.
Each NPC will obtain information from the surrounding environment and nearby friendly forces, and perform limited learning. This will make each battle a completely different experience, and you will need to make different actions based on the situation in real time.
The difference between this module and other AI modules:
There are currently many AI modules. But they all only do one thing: adjust global variables and modify combat style definitions.
This module does not modify global variables or adjust existing combat styles, but controls the entire combat style system through scripts. There are 5 fighting styles of animals and 9 types of humanoid creatures supported by PA-NPC. This module will adjust these data in real time according to changes in the combat environment and events. It can be said that this mod is the only mod that does this.
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
