Nordhagen Beach - A Tough Thriving Trading Community
This is my first upload using Starlight Drive for trading center and settlement. This one similarly utilizes available resources. (I literally picked up everything, logs, boats, even rocks, and used them to form the initial barricade.)
In all my playthroughs of this game, I've never done anything with this solution. I think it's a terrible place. This makes it an ideal choice to try to come up with something that not only works but is fun to explore. There are so many fantastic mods available and I feel like I have the tools to give them a try. Working with containers is a real challenge. They create crazy tight spaces. Hopefully the npcs will be successful, but I'm not making any promises. :)
There are over 1,200 objects used to solve this problem. I didn't experience any noticeable framerate drops in this area. I mentioned below that the Better Stores mod does not appear to be downloadable. If you don't have it yet and can't get it, you may want to add some additional food resources. This settlement uses two fishing boats and a butcher station from that mod. Shouldn't be a big deal, but I mention it because I don't want to disappoint anyone.
Another note. The settlement used some pretty long power lines. There are no specific mods listed to ensure you can connect for longer than vanilla powerline. Mine works because I run the War Never Changes mod. If there is indeed a problem. Place a few extra connectors or download one of several mods specifically designed to extend the ridiculously short vanilla powerline limitations.
There are many mods listed in the Required section. Those relating to the structure of which I have spoken are obviously indispensable. Those more suitable for decoration may not be so much. I like all the mods listed. They really offer all the options you need to make something like this. I have no issues or conflicts with them. But I did manually override Loot's loading order by ensuring that all Workshop rearranged related entries were lower than all other Workshop models.
Steps to achieve the full effect of this settlement.
- Get the required modules
- If the area is not already cleared of original assets - then clear everything important. You may end up with duplicate objects after transfer, but this shouldn't be a problem.
- IMPORTANT: When you use the Transfer Settlement Holotape import feature, make sure to check the box to import the original project (not built by the player). If you don't, half the roadblock will be missing because of what I said in #2 above.
- You may also want to select the import option to import tag-based projects. This will allow for the creation of markers that I put down for each caravan and its escort.
- Please note that my taste in "art" is a personal choice. You certainly don't need the relevant mods. What you may see in the images are replacements and therefore don't have the same mod settings as if you had the same picture.

I personally use the SKE framework to support several of its mods. Sorry, I'm not an expert in helping set these up.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
