About this mod Machine translation

describe

This mod disables pre-culling in settlement cells, so large objects such as houses and hedges can be abandoned without causing the world to blink as the character passes through the area where the abandoned object once stood.

Areas outside of vanilla settlements have been included for those using the mod of transforming settlements. Cells surrounding settlement locations have been added to accommodate players using mods that extend existing settlement areas.

Installation (If you have all DLC, make sure you download and install NMDA version 1.0.7 alpha.)

Any mod, including this one, that makes changes to a cell or its properties can reveal a series of strange issues. Here are some of the things you might see and how to deal with them.

Errors and glitches

definition

A bug, a problem caused by incorrect development of the mod. Once the mod author understands what is causing the problem, the error can be corrected.

A glitch, a problem caused by faulty development of the game itself. Failures cannot be corrected by the simulation author and must be dealt with through workarounds.

Cell Reset - When this glitch occurs, all changes you have made to the cell will be reverted to its original state. This isn't actually a bug. Removing the esp file from the load order or changing the name of the esp file may cause malfunctions. This is why it is recommended to start a new game after installing the mod, among other reasons. All ALL IN ONE files for this mod are named the same, so you shouldn't encounter this error unless you switch to the AIO version from another version. In this case, you need to start a new game. Or, redo the changes to your settlement cells.

No Sprinting - You cannot sprint in a settlement when this glitch occurs. This isn't a bug either, but a glitch. To resolve this "bug", open Fallout4Custom.ini and add fPlayerDisableSprintingLoadingCellDistance = 0 under the [Gameplay] tab.

Workshop Launch - When this glitch occurs, you will be kicked out of workshop mode for no apparent reason. This is not a bug or malfunction. This is a game mechanic you'll notice in the vanilla game if you step out of the build area in workshop mode. Specifically, this issue occurs when you move from a cell that is in the build area (or changed by a mod) to a cell that is not in workshop mode. The simple solution to this problem is to go back to workshop mode. I've tried my best to include cells around all settlements so you don't run into this problem. However, since there are many extension modules, I cannot accommodate them all. If you encounter this issue, please note your exact location relative to the vanilla map location. Post this here and I'll try to modify the cells that are causing the problem.

Heavy Armor Reset - When this glitch occurs, you will notice that your power armor has disappeared from any frames left in the armored cell. The solution to this problem is to remove the armor and store it in a container, or scrap and rebuild the frame found in the game. There are several mods available that can create riggable power armor frames.

No movement in build mode - if you find yourself stuck, simply exit build mode, enter third-person view, and re-enter build mode.

Load order

The only requirement is that this mod loads as close to the end of the load order as possible. So install normally, use LOOT, then drag this mod to the last load order. I'm currently running the last 254 mods of my mod and the game runs just fine.

My load order works for 254 mods installed. These are the last few lines.

I also set bUseCombinedObjects = 0 and bUsePreculledObjects = 1 in the Fallout4Custom.ini file under the [General] section, and set fPlayerDisableSprintingLoadingCellDistance = 0 under the [Gameplay] section.

This is the only configuration I can say for sur …

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions

  1. Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
  2. There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
  3. Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
  4. Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.

Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
