background:

Hailing from the days of iron forging, the No. 4 Double Barrel is a heavy black powder shotgun that provides easy access to ammunition. Gauge sizes are based on how many lead balls equal a pound; a size 12 lead ball is 1/12 pound in diameter, while a size 4 lead ball is 1/4 pound in diameter.

It was originally designed to deter large game and hunt waterfowl in groups, and in an era without proper gunpowder, increasing caliber size was the most common method of increasing the power of a shot. Despite its ancient appearance, raiders feared its roar because when farmers owned it, they knew their homes were as safe as a fortress.

Features:

A heavy gauge 4 shotgun. (Use Heavy Gunner Perk)
Counter Raider; deals double damage and makes nearby Raiders pack their bags!
Customizable optional ammunition system.
Custom sounds, Navarro.
Inject into hierarchical list.
ESP for ESL flags -- does not count in your load order!

Customized ammunition system

Ammo selection

Deer ammunition - basically brought with you
Single-head bullet - also basic
Flares - tighter spread, greater penetration. (less damage)
Dragon's Breath - Spreads wider, causing non-stacking DOT. Suitable for groups.
Pulse Round - Energy damage. Deals extra damage to robots.
Fragmentation rounds - splash damage.

*Optional Ammo Crafting - If enabled, weapons will require Gauge 4 shotshells and custom ammo will require the appropriate Gauge 4 shotshell type. Ammunition must be crafted at a Chemistry Workbench.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions

  1. Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
  2. There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
  3. Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
  4. Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.

Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
