About this mod Machine translation
introduce
"This is not a complete texture pack and only covers a few aspects of the game - I guess I say that from the start as I am generally known for the extensive texture packs of the Fallout series.
This model redesigns roads (blacktop only), Sanctuary Bridges, Red Rocket Truck Stops, Diners, Drive-in(s) and Nuka Cola Machines. These areas share
Some graphical assets, so it seemed logical to reframe these areas together. So Drumlin Diner and Red Rocket settlement fans should find most of the graphics are there! I've also included my previously posted Sanctuary Bridge and Road retextures as part of this pack. However, in this version, the edges of potholes on the road have been improved by adding cracks and fissures around the edges, which was lacking in the original release.
I really had no intention of making, let alone releasing, more texture mods after my previous four Fallout 4 mods, but thanks to some very positive conversations with the very talented fellow modl BlackBerry, I'm starting to feel inspired again. When she provided an interesting suggestion for texturing models, I felt inspired enough to try a small project and subsequently started enjoying texturing again. After providing suggestions and beta testing, I feel it is ready for release. This mod wouldn't exist without her input, so I'm very grateful. Thanks!
Using the original art direction as a baseline, I tried to go for a more realistic and immersive look here versus the more stylized look of the original graphics, and hopefully I succeeded in that.
I hope you like the new look. "
Details
This mod retextures:
- red rocket truck stop
- diner
- Drive-Ins
- Nuka Cola vending machine
- Temple Bridge
- Road, pothole and edge decals. (Asphalt roads only)
Available in 3 sizes (please select and install a size):
Very High - These are up to 4K textures, 4K normal maps and 2K specular/glossy maps.
High - These are up to 4K textures, 2K normal maps and 1K specular/glossy maps.
Medium - Up to 2K textures, 2K normal maps and 1K specular/glossy maps.
No one should tax your system too much, so I recommend trying the very high version first - but the high version is still a very high resolution. If you have any performance issues due to already having a large number of mods or a weaker PC, use the medium version.
If your game doesn't match the screenshot exactly, it might be because I'm using a subtle enb preset, but I can't remember which one I'm using. It slightly increases contrast and adds subtle bloom and DOF effects.
Install
- Download the pack size of your choice (Very Tall, High or Medium) manually or via Mod Manager (NMM).
2a) If installing manually, place the 7zip file in the game folder and unzip it. Then activate the corresponding .esp file using your favorite mod manager.
2b) If installing via NMM, download and activate it like any other mod. Then activate the .esp file.
- For those who prefer the esp approach, there is an optional esl file. If you don't know what it is, don't use it. See the paste post in the topic for information. Thanks to DankRafft for guiding me in including the ESL files.
IMPORTANT - If you already have my roads mod installed, previously released as a standalone module, please remove it as it will overwrite the new and improved version of roads included in this pack!
Since the last update attempted, the mod is now being re-uploaded to eradicate the issue. All previous problems are now hopefully fixed.
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
