About this mod Machine translation
Send electricity from settlement to settlement, tidy up your wires, repair grid damage and make electricity great again!
Author's words:
A word of warning up front If you just want to plop a 1,000,000 radius power radiator and be done with it, you've come to the worst possible place.
This mod is definitely not for you. Just reading the description might give you a stroke - now turn around and get out of the way. You have been warned!
However, if you want complete control over your grid, then rejoice! And keep reading.
What's going on?
Read this book from NISTRON SNE to learn how to build new shop projects related to getting power from point A to point B:
- High voltage transformers carry electricity from any settlement to one or more settlements.
- A fully modular pole kit for managing overhead wiring in settlements.
- Buried (hidden) wires for a 100% clean indoor/outdoor settlement wiring method.
- Small wiring clips for indoor use (but you can also place them outdoors).
- Isolation transformers to solve terminal problems in installation factories and to create complex power grids with them.
- A better switch box that can be labeled and painted like many other items in this mod.
- Brand new isolating switch that correctly breaks the circuit when turned off (very different from the switch box).
- New, clean "conduit" type connectors and insulators (insulators don't radiate power), because why would you want to build rusty junk.
- One-piece wall/floor/ceiling penetrations for concrete building sets because we can.
- ReWire-o-Tron: a fully automated machine for repairing and reconnecting damaged power grids.
- Patch strips: for the cleanest possible indoor wiring method. Lid opens and closes the workshop if not set to "Always On".
- New buried wire types for terminal blocks, including stylish power radiators with configurable ranges.
- Univerter: Similar to a diode, but used for alternating current. Deliver any amount of power in one direction only.
- Clean residential street light models for conventional and underground wiring, including buried wire models.
But wait! There's more!
- Exciting new management capabilities for many new items.
- Increased power output of all vanilla generators.
- Optional colors and styles of workshop wires.
- Unlimited workshop line length, reducing sagging.
- Bonus: Wired Vault-Tec signal lights in industry standard colors.
How to use it?
- Back up your saves.
- Install all required files.
- Collect the NISTRON EEE Volume 1 book and read it (or enable cheats directly in the MCM menu).
- New content appears under the "Power Supply" category and the "Connectors & Switches" menu.
- Wall Penetrations are available under the Concrete Building Settings menu.
-profit! ! !
- Due to the presence of powered items in the mod, uninstallation is not supported.
If you still want to remove this mod, please scrap any items you built with it first. Or, just scroll back to save before installing the mod!
- There is no editing of world space or any vanilla cells in this mod.
- Send photos of your power plants and substations :D
- Don't forget to endorse the mod if you like it :D - And, as always: stay safe and follow the rules set by the NEC.
NEW: But I can't or don't want to install WSFW! what to do?
Thanks to Kinggath and CDante I can now provide a plugin for people who don't have WSFW :)
You can find it as an optional download in the Downloads section.
Please note: You need WSFW or this plugin. Don't install both at the same time!
Getting Started: Building a Simple Power Plant
- Build a Fusion Generator (one of the blue generators) which will generate 300 PU (Power Plant).
- Build a high voltage transformer (small).
- Connect the generator to the transformer.
- Open the maintenance menu on the transformer and select Configuration.
- Select the high voltage setting option in the transformer configuration menu.
- Configure the high voltage side of the transformer to 140PU @ 3x13.8kV (Delta).
- From the conf …
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
