About this mod Machine translation

This mod is a plugin replacement with a few tweaks: nightstrikers will be easier to kill (file selectable if you don't want to), puppies won't spawn, plus some minor edits.

The default main file has been packaged and uploaded together with the optional main file that does not modify the health value and damage resistance. You can choose one of the two to install according to your needs.

Purpose

In my opinion, Nightstrikers is one of the best Creature Mods made for Fallout 4. It adds creatures based on the Nightstalkers from Fallout: New Vegas, with variants (Normal, Albino, Rabid, Den Mother, and Glowing). You'll find a new companion in the crypt, and you'll be able to craft specialized armor on the Chemlab. You'll also find new items, including food you can cook. However, I had a few tweaks in mind, and I got permission to publish them.

In order to use my plugin, you need to install the main file for the resources from the original mod. Have my plugin overwrite the original plugin. Optional files in the original mod are at your discretion. The Dogmeat replacement is just a mesh and should be safe to use or ignore.

describe

To understand what my plugin does, read the following:

Cubs have been removed from the mod. They are essentially smaller Nightstrikers with more variety added. They are not hostile unless attacked, and they do not drop items, as the mod author does not want to encourage players to kill the cubs. However, since the base game doesn't have pups, I think the easier solution would be to delete them.

Nightstrikers have been nerfed. I think their damage output is decent, but in my casual setup they feel like "bullet sponges" to me. They now have 3/4 of their original health and their resistances are reduced by half. The amount of experience gained from killing them is slightly reduced. It's also worth noting that albinos have their life regeneration reduced by half. If you want raw health and damage resistance values, download the optional files.

There was a deleted reference in the mod, causing pre-composition corruption. The edit has been removed. This means you will now see a large forsythia plant near the added shed, with the advantage of improved performance.

The "Nightstriker Armor" category has been renamed to "NIGHTSTRIKER ARMOR". All caps, like the original entry in chemlab. Speaking of which, I moved the armor from the cooking station to the chemistry lab.

Additional Information

In both of my screenshots you can see that Dogs can grab player in action, which is what I recommend. Combined with their invisibility, it should make Nightstrikers combat challenging despite my edits.

You can safely add Nightstrikers and my tweaks along with Stand Alone Version UNPC, Creaturs, and Monsters.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions

  1. Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
  2. There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
  3. Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
  4. Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.

Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
