Version 1.1.3 Update:

Added "Game time slows down when panel is open" option in MCM to slow down the game when panel is open

----

This mod introduces 48 shortcut keys to enhance the gaming experience through a customizable shortcut key panel.

Just like the original collection system, even weapons of the same type can be managed as separate collections.

————Main functions————

Original compatibility

Collections appear in Pip-Boy just like in the original, and you can also mark individual firearms as collections.

Simple setup

Assign up to 8 shortcut keys to each category using a dedicated interface.

Intuitive to use

Open the category's shortcut panel and use the item by number.

Fully customizable

Adjust HUD and layout options to create your ideal setup.

Old console or next-generation users please use the main version in the File tab.

Users of AE or the latest version, please use the AE version.

Version 1.1.2 Update:

A gun's loaded ammo count is now retained when loading a save.

An issue where magazine capacity was incorrectly applied when reloading has been fixed (subject to verification).

A new setting has been added to the HUD settings: hotkey to switch weapons - press the hotkey again to unload the weapon.

To use the mod, first find the "Nested Shortcuts" section in MCM. Here you can register shortcut keys to enter the settings menu.

When you open the settings menu, an interface similar to the one above will appear. The menu is divided into two main parts: the inventory menu on the right and the shortcut settings menu on the left.

Select an item from the backpack and click the shortcut key slot to register it.

Click "Get Shortcut Item" to get an item and open the shortcut panel for that category.

Use the "Count" button on the shortcut key slot to adjust the number of slots.

Use the hotkey Items to open a panel showing your registered items.

Items can be used by pressing the number keys.

Items display possession count or ammo count depending on type.

The panel automatically closes after 3 seconds, or press Tab, Esc, or an unassigned number to close the panel immediately.

Open the "HUD Settings" menu to customize the shortcut key panel.

Vertical alignment sets the reference point for adding or removing items.

Slot X transposition will move to the left or right.

The slot X curve adjusts the slot curve according to the vertical arrangement.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions

  1. Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
  2. There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
  3. Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
  4. Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.

Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
