About this mod Machine translation

Nate Preset (More Like the Concept Art)

The default Nate (male) sole survivor in Fallout 4 looks weird, and has several disproportionate features that make him look somewhat cartoonish. I was frustrated with the few male presets available, so I took the initiative and created my own mod. This male preset draws inspiration from "Fallout 4 concept art" and aims to create a face with as similar features as possible.

The concept art male sole survivor looks more interesting. You can see the artists going the "everyone's hero" route, and I think they succeeded.

However, the default male preset we got looks completely different from the concept art. The face is too thick and thin. The nose is too bulbous. The eyes are too far apart. The lips are too puffy. Overall, the default presets look too cartoony and clunky for my tastes.

With this new preset, the exclusive survivor looks closer to his concept art origins. The result is a more heroic, adventurous face that deserves it. I don't think the picture above does him justice, but in game he looks more like life. The difference is subtle, but much better in my opinion. I hope you all enjoy this preset and the versatile single player game!

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions

  1. Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
  2. There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
  3. Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
  4. Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.

Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
