Version v0.97s

Fallout Next-Gen Patch (FONG) Compatible Version Chuck-It Missile Mod

Replaced the incompatible (at the time of writing) hierarchical list injection handled by RobCo Patcher with DankRaft's LL injector script.

Until now, FONG users could only obtain weapons through crafting, and Perk Magazine could only appear in their games using console commands.

Additionally, the existing LL for Perk Magazine has been changed to increase the likelihood of finding it by increasing the drop chance as the player level increases.

______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________!> The most notable change is the addition of some nested LLs, allowing magazines to spawn on any Raider in the world. Despite this, the drop chance is extremely low at around 0.81%

You can expect 6 to 17 Raiders out of 1000 carrying the Perk Mag. Perk is only given once (although that may change in the future), so any additional copies found can be sold for a chunk of the cap.

If the PerkMag spawns in a Raider's inventory, it will also place 7 Chuck-It Missiles in their inventory. This means, in an immersive way; Raiders who have magazines build their stocks of explosives using the magazines as a guide.

So if a single Raider drops more than 2-3 missiles in a firefight, chances are they have a PerkMag as well.

Updating to this version from previous versions of the mod is safe and should not cause any problems, however, once the RobCo Patcher is compatible with FONG, switching from the script injection version (v0.97s) to the RobCo version (v0.97r) is not recommended.

Speaking of the Robco Patcher version…

Vortex users switching to the script-injected version of the mod may encounter a small issue, as Vortex considers v0.97r to be an update to v0.97s. This is not the case. See the Sticky Post on the Chuck-It's Mod page for details on how to fix this issue.

Version v0.97r

The RobCo patch version of the Chuck-It missile is a direct upgrade from the existing master file (v0.95r and below).

This update includes the staging list changes included in the FONG compatible version, but it uses the RobCo Patcher to handle LL injection rather than script injection.

Previous updates (v0.93r) will be available in the Misc section of the Files tab of the Mod page.

Version v0.93-R

Fixed an issue with missing material and texture files.

Optimize and reformat all textures.

While the textures were functional before, they were made before I knew how to properly texture FO4.

While it may not make a noticeable difference, all textures now take up less space, load faster, and have zero quality loss.

This version is designated as a "RobCo/Pre-Next Gen" version because LL is still handled by Robco …

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions

  1. Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
  2. There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
  3. Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
  4. Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.

Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
